Niko Kralj is probably the most famous designer to ever emerge from Slovenia. For six decades he has been the central figure in Slovene design, developing an astonishing number of products and building an impressive archive, with records of his professional work in promoting the knowledge and awareness of design and its importance. Interest in Kralj’s output and legacy has been growing in recent years, and in 2012 an exhibition featuring his work was held at the Museum of Architecture and Design in Ljubljana. This book is the first English translation of the catalogue of the comprehensive exhibition, which featured his most important products, prototypes, and concepts.
